Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

AuditCake Corp. ("AuditCake," "we," "our," or "us") builds software for insurance premium auditing teams. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit auditcake.ai or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions at any point, email privacy@auditcake.ai.

AuditCake is offered solely to businesses located in the United States and our services are designed for processing in the United States.

1. Information we collect

We collect only the information you provide directly, plus limited technical data necessary to operate our website.

Information you provide

  • Signup requests: when you enter your work email to request a workspace, we collect your email address.
  • Contact and pilot requests: when you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, work email, company, and any notes you include.
  • Email correspondence: if you email us, we retain the contents of that message and your email address so we can respond.
  • Newsletter signup: if you subscribe to the AuditCake newsletter, we collect your email address and the page or source you signed up from. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter email.

Information collected automatically

  • Log data: our hosting and edge providers automatically log request metadata (IP address, user agent, referer URL, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Product analytics and session monitoring: we use a real-user monitoring service to understand how visitors use the marketing website and to diagnose errors. This includes page views, clicks, scrolls, performance metrics, and a recorded view of the session in the browser. Text you type into form fields (such as your email or phone number) is masked in these recordings before it leaves your browser. Recordings are retained for up to 30 days.
  • Marketing attribution: if you arrive from a campaign URL, we capture the campaign parameters (e.g., utm_source, utm_campaign) so we can understand which channels are driving interest.

2. How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your signup or pilot request and set up a workspace for you;
  • Communicate with you about AuditCake, including scheduling walkthroughs, sending transactional email, and following up on inquiries;
  • Send the AuditCake newsletter to subscribers, and measure aggregate open and click rates to improve future issues;
  • Operate, secure, and improve our website;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiling or for training machine-learning models.

3. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate our website and respond to your inquiries. These providers act on our instructions and are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential. Categories of providers include:

  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure;
  • Edge networking, DNS, and security;
  • Transactional and business email delivery;
  • Product analytics and session monitoring;
  • Advertising and conversion measurement on business networks where we run campaigns;
  • Customer relationship and productivity software.

A current list of our key sub-processors is available on request from privacy@auditcake.ai.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger, financing, or acquisition. In the event of such a transaction, we will update this policy.

4. Cookies and tracking

The AuditCake marketing website uses a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary: our edge networking provider may set cookies for security and bot mitigation when you access the site.
  • Product analytics and session monitoring: our real-user monitoring service sets a first-party cookie to associate page views and interactions within a single visit and to enable session recording (with sensitive form input masked, as described in Section 1).
  • Advertising attribution: business networks where we run campaigns (e.g., LinkedIn) may set cookies via tags on our site to measure ad performance and to show relevant ads to people who have visited AuditCake.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect parts of the site experience but will not prevent you from using it.

5. Data retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, maintain our business records, and comply with legal obligations — typically no longer than 24 months for unconverted prospect inquiries. Request logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information you provide. This includes encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email privacy@auditcake.ai. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable US state law.

California residents: under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the rights described above and the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics.

8. Children

AuditCake is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on our website or communicated by email to registered users.
